View Full Details of The Village Care Group LtdThey helped me to get and pick up my new car and supported me in trying to get my old car repaired, they took a stall to the local Xmas lights switch on last year and have been helping me to stop the local council from picking on me, they keep trying to stop all my care, they all understand how important The Village Care Group is.
We have been using Village Care for around seven months to look after our father 24 hours a day in his own home. This was different to most care jobs as we also live in the same house albeit next door. The carers we have had for the last six months have been excellent! To the point they are now members of our extended family. Father has never been looked after so well.
I had a carer for a couple of years. Her care for me was excellent. She showed absolute respect and care for all my needs. Her organisation of my flat which made it easier for me to reach food on shelves and move around as I am partially disabled. On an occasion when I fell in the night and was on the floor all night till she came in next morning. She came in, tidied me up before calling the ambulance and my family. She acted very professional and caring. Her reassurance made me feel so much better. I am sorry to have lost her as my carer.
In the beginning when I started, Village care hadn't been open long and there were quite a few teething problems. On the negative side I feel that sometimes there are massive breakdowns in communication between office staff and clients and carers which can be extremely frustrating. I should only have to ask once or twice for things and these things should be done. I shouldn't have to repeat myself over and over again. Also, if I say I don't want a certain carer for whatever reason I shouldn't then find them in the following weeks rota. I have to be honest things have improved since the new management took over. On the positive side the office staff have often helped me at short notice with rota changes and given me what I needed. Also. I now have 3 wonderful carers who often go above and beyond their duty of care to try and make my life more bearable. These ladies genuinely care about me. They are efficient. Caring and warm, friendly. I consider them my friends.
Due to my mobility I am unable to leave my house. I had a hospital appointment which I had to attend. My regular carer was amazing and made sure I was safe and well and remained with me during the hospital session. Returned me home safely and I have complete faith in her caring.
Village Care were able to provide care very quickly and were professional and sympathetic at all times. Mum soon got used to the twice-daily visits from regular carers and was very appreciative of their support until she went into full-time residential care. I would definitely recommend Village Care.
All of the carers in the team have been really good helping to look after my father and helping to take some of the caring responsibilities off my mother. There are some carers, in particular, who really stand out and who have been so kind, are so good at their job and have built a fantastic rapport with both of my parents. Their help and support have made such a big difference but all of the carer's support is greatly appreciated. When we have had questions or concerns with the roster these have always been addressed promptly. This week when we had an emergency care issue Village Care immediately sorted this out for me and made a stressful situation so much easier. Thank you.
I have been using Village Care for over six months, they provide help washing, dressing, cleaning, shopping etc. carers are punctual. Management is very responsive to any of your concerns and takes immediate action.
When I have asked for additional care assistance over and above the agreed package, it has always been accommodated. Also, the carers have always been experienced and good. The office personnel have also been more than helpful and good at arranging the care plan rota.
We have found Village Care to be reliable and very flexible while caring for my 86-year-old mother who suffers from dementia. They have been able to provide care at relatively short notice. The care professionals are excellent and provide a dependable and respectful service. We have been extremely impressed with the initiative and communication of the carers who are quick to notice and respond to ongoing problems. They are providing a lifeline for us allowing us to balance our lives alongside caring for Mum.
The management team are very friendly and are very accommodating to the needs of an individual. This includes changes to care requirements at short notice! Also, they have dealt with any issues and concerns I have had efficiently and in a timely manner. I have a regular team of staff from village care who I have struck up a good rapport with, which is something I've struggled with previous care providers. The management team always make sure to keep the same team of people wherever possible, which has helped maintain good mental health and a sense of security. Overall very happy with this company and would highly recommend it!
Village Care has been helping me in my own home since September 2023. I Have been very satisfied with all the work they have done for me, covering tasks I am no longer able to do for myself. The girls have been very willing and helpful at all times. The quality of work meets my standards. I look forward to their visits.
Excellent service all planned by a staff member at Village Care for me. My carer is a very efficient, courteous man. I was able to add extra time for a hospital visit easily, my carer used his car and was really considerate the whole time I was there. Feel happy if I need to adjust the length of time for an appointment I can do so. Many thanks to all.
My mum was cared for, for a period of two years and towards the end of her life in December 2022 we needed two carers four times a day. At extremely short notice this care provider stepped up and pulled out all the stops to make this happen. Due to delays in hospital administration, there was a lot of uncertainty about dates and times and arrangements needed to be flexible. Village Care were extremely helpful and agreed to change arrangements at very short notice. They did so willingly and were always polite and extremely accommodating. They never once made me feel that I was a nuisance. They bent over backwards to do everything they could to help us bring my mum home for her final weeks. They provided consistent care never letting us down and wherever possible to have the same team of five throughout the last weeks of my mum's life. They showed such love and care for my mum and support for the whole family. Nothing was too much trouble. My mum felt loved and received high quality care.
I would totally recommend this company. Most of their carers are reliable lovely people but if we did have an issue it would always be dealt with immediately. Towards the end of my mother's life, they went above and beyond to help us make sure we had 24/7 cover, which as a family we very much appreciated.
My husband was cared for by members of The Village Care team for the last seven months of his life. The carers who came - nearly always the same ones - were professional, competent and caring. They became like one of the family and always treated my husband with compassion but also checked that I was coping. They always turned up on time and if anyone was unable to come or was held up, I was notified and where necessary a replacement was sent. Because of their support, my husband was able to stay at home. I recommend them highly.
I have been using The Village Care Group since I came out of the hospital and I am extremely pleased with the quality of staff provided and the communication between myself and the company. I have a large number of visits per week to assist me in my home and would not be able to manage without their help.
I have been using Village Care for some time now in providing care for my mum, she has multiple visits 7 days a week. Mum is very pleased with the care she receives and has built a good rapport with her carers. This care gives me peace of mind whilst out at work that she's being cared for and they are reliable to turn up on time. I find it easy to pick up the phone to the management team if there is an issue and it's quickly resolved.
Good care and pleasant staff. Very limited care is actually required, beyond checking that I am basically okay. Staff vary in their degree of care. I am not permitted to mention names, but I will say that my most frequent carer and by far the best, in my opinion, is from an Eastern European country.
Great service and fast response. They have been very helpful and kind to my father and the house was very clean, as I left it. The managers are very quick in responding to my emails. Also, if there were problems or questions, the carers would ring me to confirm.
