View Full Details of CareMate GroupCareMate has provided a live-in carer to support the care needs of my father for the past 18 months. Professional care from both carer and CareMate all the way through to meet dad's changing care needs with his Alzheimers. Dad was treated with dignity and empathy, the carer built up a great rapport with Dad so during the last few months of his life when his communication was limited she understood him and was tuned in to his needs and his humour. The carer was very sensitive to my mum allowing her to be involved with dad's care if and when she wanted to. The carer was hard working, honest and reliable and built up a good relationship with the whole family, nothing was too much for her. Although very sad that Dad has now passed on we as a family are so grateful that CareMate allowed Dad to stay at home with Mum, he lived well with his advanced Alzheimers enjoying going out most days until unable and he peacefully slipped away at home with Mum holding his hand. Would highly recommend CareMate.
My father had Alzheimer's and sadly recently died. We had a live in carer with Caremate for 18 months. Seeing a slow decline for someone you love is such a hard experience. Without the help of Caremate this period would have been so much more difficult. We had loving support at home and also at the end of the phone. After a spell in hospital we thought it would be impossible for Dad to return home, Caremate made it possible. I am extremely grateful to them all.
It has been wonderful having care from CareMate for our Mum. They have been so accommodating with whatever needs she has, and also with managing her house, which isn't always easy! Her meals and personal care, exercise and medication are all taken care of. We know we can rely on caring and friendly attention in every task that is carried out. Plus, the record-keeping is excellent, so that we and the management team can check what has been happening in Mum's daily life. I definitely recommend CareMate and I am confident we shall continue to engage their support for Mum.
Consistently high-quality professional care with compassion for my 92-year-old mother. Adaptable, with good attention to detail concerning nutrition, medication, liaising with other service providers, and formal documentation. Always cheerful and friendly towards family members, with reliable and timely communication. Carer even prepared to go out of her way, giving a lift on a day off to enable a dental visit. Excellent experienced level of service. Highly recommended.
Care was for my eighty-three year old mum who had Alzheimer's. The care was at a high standard, giving my family reassurance and peace of mind. Personal care, companionship and friendship all at a high standard. Mum's personal care and emotional care came first day and night. Mum was happy, felt safe and cared for, right to when she passed.
The carer/owner looked after my mother for three years giving 24/7 professional, caring, compassionate care. She became my late mother's friend to the end. We always felt that my late mother was safe in her care. Her verbal communication and daily care logs kept us completely informed of my mother's condition in real-time. The planning of meals, medication and daily activities was well-organised for my mother's personal needs. The best summary would be 'care with dignity'.
