View Full Details of Helping Hands (Knaresborough)The caring staff supports my husband who has dementia. They are always cheerful, professional, and caring, and go out of their way to help my husband. They deal effectively with any issues as they arise, and have made such a difference in both of our lives.
Well organised and planned care. Carers are pleasant and caring and have a good knowledge of a wide range of care needs. So far carers have been reliable and adaptable as have the management staff and accounts department.
Helping Hands Home Care (Northallerton) provides an excellent service. They have made a big difference for my Mum. Carers are always approachable and friendly. It means I can go out to work and know my Mum is well looked after. Also, very easy to contact the main office. Very satisfied with this service.
We’re very new to home care and I chose Helping Hands because they had a good CQC rating and also I liked what they said on the website. My Mum has Alzheimer's and cannot remember the carers after they have left, but she seems bright as a button and that is probably because she is eating better and has someone to talk to as the day is moving to early evening. Everyone I have spoken to are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble. They offer advice and support even without me asking. Very glad I picked this company!
Pleased with your service and care. The girls are always kind and helpful. Your training for them is excellent they remember all the food preferences and other details are remembered. I always feel cared for and relaxed with them.
My mum and I are very happy with the care she receives. She has struck up good relationships with quite a few of the carers and the quality of care is excellent. The timekeeping is also very good as because of my mum's Alzheimer she gets anxious if anyone is late. The excellence of the care package means that I have less to worry about and my mum can stay in her own home.
The manager and her helping Hands team are helping my dad stay in his own home. Dad has dementia and without their proactive daily care, he would have to be in a home. The team does not only help with medication and meals they interact with dad, care for his daily welfare and have on occasion managed emergency services. Dad believes there is nothing wrong with him, sometimes does not understand why people come to his house and is not always appreciating what the Helping Hands team does. My wife and I really appreciate what Helping Hands do to keep my dad at home. Thank you.
Carers are usually very prompt, always polite and (on their own) 100 percent focussed on my needs. When they are in pairs - as happens if a new carer is shadowing a more experienced colleague - they can chat to each other. I am usually concentrating too much on trying to move to speak but they immediately respond when attracted.
