View Full Details of Rainbow Health & Care LtdThe Homecare Team were exceptionally caring. They always called on time to get my husband showered, dried, and dressed and chatted to him throughout making him feel comfortable. Creams were applied as necessary and they accompanied him downstairs - he used a stairlift and ensured he was sat comfortably ready for his breakfast which I had ready. They then went and made or changed the bed, hung up the towels, and emptied the bin. All the carers offered help to me also and it was a comfort to know they were coming each day and I could discuss any problems relating to my husband's health with them.
Great care and carers. I took time to show them what my sister needed and explained what she was like being she was an alcoholic with mental health issues. Nothing was too much trouble, I had very good communication and support. Lovely girls, thank you.
I received details of Rainbow Care a few days before leaving the hospital. I contacted them and have not regretted it. The senior carer carried out a review and put in place a care plan that was exactly what I needed and throughout the time I was in their care, I felt secure and comfortable. Thank you, Rainbow for your patience, kindness and care during a time when I felt very vulnerable.
Good overall. I found them reliable and friendly, and responsive to our requests. They treated the patient with respect throughout the year that care was provided. When the stair lift was installed, the staff were happy to assist with moving the patient downstairs in the morning and then upstairs in the evening.
Rainbow Care was recommended by the discharge team when my husband left the hospital just a few days before Christmas. They immediately stepped in and provided all the assistance that I needed and helped me care for my husband at what was a very difficult time. They continued to do so until he passed away recently. They were at all times professional, caring and reliable and I couldn't have asked for any better treatment for my husband. I enjoyed their visits and we laughed and cried together. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.
My mother's live-in carer was truly amazing. She was kind, considerate and compassionate at all times. Without her, I would have not coped with my mother's declining health. There was a high level of trust in such a short period of time. All staff at Rainbow Care were professional and provided excellent care. I am grateful for all the support.
Early in June Rainbow provided a 'Live in' carer for my 92-year-old Aunt following her discharge from hospital after several falls at home and a previous failed discharge. My Aunt has severe mobility problems, was becoming increasingly confused and it was obvious she was unable to look after herself safely without assistance and supervision. Rainbow spent time assessing the care required and explaining their recommendations. They took the time to find a suitable carer and relief, who both get on very well with my Aunt. All the Rainbow staff (Carers and office) have been easy to deal with nothing being too much trouble. The carers have made several suggestions to improve her quality of life which has been helpful. Since we have had the carer from Rainbow, my aunt has improved beyond recognition, compared with the previous few months when she was deteriorating rapidly. I would highly recommend Rainbow as an efficient, helpful and professional care provider.
The Rainbow team treated my mother with exceptional care. They respected her dignity at all times. They always greeted her with a lovely smile and made sure she was comfortable with a cup of tea or a cold drink. We would like mention in particular the young lady who sat vigil for Mum over the last week of her life. We would like her to be recognized. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Rainbow team.
Your carers provided an excellent service which helped to make the last months of my wife's life much more pleasant. The quality of the care which they provided was exceptional and the relationship which they established with us was outstanding.
We found Rainbow to be outstanding when they looked after my father up until the very end of his life. They always turned up with a great attitude and a smile that put him at ease and made his last months as enjoyable as possible. Everyone who visited was fantastic and with a special mention to Kennedy who my dad loved to swap banter with regarding their football teams. I would definitely recommend these people. Many thanks.
Overall the carers have been very good and my Mother likes all of the young ladies. They are very caring and thoughtful. The contact I have had with the office has been very good - quick to respond to queries and very helpful in sorting out any rota changes.
A lovely team that cares. They've been an enormous support for me whilst looking after my Mum and made life much easier. Everything from sorting out finances to dealing with tricky health issues, I have trust that things will be done the best way.
The carers showed compassion when caring for my Dad. They arrived on time, were sensitive to my Dads needs and also my Mums during a stressful time. The carers were all lovely. We are very appreciative of the support they provided during a difficult time. They gave up their Christmas to care for my Dad, going above and beyond.
Rainbow carers looked after my father, they were amazing with him. He was sceptical at first, but they gained his trust and he learnt to rely and trust them. They suggested things that would help, certain medications etc. They were company for him in his last few months that I know he appreciated.
Rainbow has excellent nursing care. Every staff have looked after my husband and I in a kind, caring and always there when needed. I am also very grateful for the attention they have paid towards my welfare, ensuring that I am happy too. Thank you Rainbow.
I cannot speak too highly of the service received from Rainbow Health. They have provided help for my husband which is exemplary. His needs are many, and each task has been done with great kindness and understanding. He had a fall in his care home, was admitted to A&E and when ready, later that day, for discharge, they felt unable to accept him back. Rainbow was contacted by the hospital and arrived at our home, just as the ambulance did at midnight. They are continuing to provide one-to-one 24-hour service and I will be forever grateful. I have no idea how I would have coped without their help. I would recommend their services to anyone.
All the Rainbow staff, without exception, displayed professionalism and compassion. They genuinely helped my family through the last few weeks of my Mum’s life. And even after her death, they have continued to be helpful and sensitive in their dealings with me.
Carers are very helpful and compassionate to my partner, giving him his space when needed and respecting his choices whilst maintaining dignity and empathy. Management has been excellent in accommodating our needs; it has taken a little time, but know we have a great team.
Many of the following comments are not meant to be critical as they probably would not apply so much or at all to someone not suffering from dementia. Although very grateful that I was getting some help, I found having many different carers difficult. First I had to explain what was needed and how our shower worked. Also, they each had to learn what my husband could or couldn’t do for himself. If he was unsure of how something was being done he would call for me so I was not able to rest or get on with something else uninterruptedly. It disturbed my husband also that the time of arrival varied without warning. I do understand the many reasons why this may have happened. However, the carers who came were all pleasant and gentle and kind and do a good job with sometimes very demanding clients. The management was responsive and understanding whenever I had the need to deal with them. The help I received did enable us to cope at home until it became clear that this was no longer feasible.
Rainbow Health & Care agency stepped in to help as my husband was discharged from the hospital without any prior notice. The hospital had advised Rainbow that we would need immediate help three times a day, and they responded with helpful, caring people. The week was very stressful for both my husband and me, but the carers coped with the situation and with my tearful sessions. They washed or showered my husband, shaved him and dressed him, changing him when necessary. They helped him start walking, and his mobility has improved enormously during the past week. I can't say how grateful I am for the care the staff have shown both of us - particularly me. We are now in a much better position than we were a week ago and are now able to manage once again. Thank you, and best wishes to everyone - a very positive experience.
