Home Instead have been accessible at all times on the end of a phone and have been really flexible with our changing care needs. Big thanks to the manager. I have recommended to two other friends who have informed me they are also very happy with the care and service from Home Instead.
We have used Home Instead for two years to visit my mother on a daily/twice daily basis. In the main the same group of carers have looked after mum, clearly with some changes along the way as staff have come and gone. That said, the level of consistency has been really good. The carers have helped with housework, preparing meals, personal care and laundry. They have always been extremely professional and kind with mum. Recently the level of care required increasing at short notice prior to mum needing to go into a nursing home. The request was accommodated immediately. A different kind of nursing care was required and we were most impressed with this, having not had exposure to this side of the Home Instead offering before. The management team have always been available when we have had queries and where we have occasionally raised issues, these have been dealt with promptly. Pricing is perhaps at the higher end of the scale, but our experience was that it was worth it.
My experience over the past 11 months has been very good. I still do not find it easy having someone in my home, but my carers are understanding and helpful. Also, I have been fortunate to have had the same ladies on a small rota so can class them as friends.
All my carers have been absolutely great, they really are very caring. While they are with me they will do any jobs, like ironing, cleaning, going with me for a walk or just sitting and having a chat. I would certainly recommend them to others who need help and assistance.
Friendly, discreet, professional team. A+ Home Instead care for my 36-year-old husband who was in a road traffic accident and is non-weight bearing. Home Instead respect his privacy and boundaries and provide me with the support I need in the day-to-day running of our home with a 5-year-old! Would highly recommend it.
I have found the carers who visit my mum very helpful and supportive, the only issue I have is the turnover of front line staff, which could well be an industry wide problem. The scheduling and administration staff I am in contact with are also very helpful, but I do have an issue with the lack of communication with the senior management who seem distant and unresponsive. I have had a couple of issues recently, which were not addressed in what I would consider a satisfactory manner, in that I did not receive any follow up contact.
Home Instead have been providing care for just over 12 months to my elderly friend. Now that a regular routine has been established the service they provide is of a high standard. They have worked with me to ensure that all the requests we have made have been accommodated and we are now happy with a regular team of care professionals who work hard to support my elderly 93-year-old friend who suffers with Alzheimer’s. We benefit from a care provider who is now the most regular one to visit; we really appreciate her and the rest of the team’s care and support. They ensure any changes or concerns are fed back to me for attention. The other carers are also of a great standard and following a fall when my friend was home alone they were quick to get me involved. As a result of the fall, my friend also needed additional visits which Home Instead sorted quickly and efficiently, having carers in place for temporary nighttime visits without any hassle.
