View Full Details of Alcedo Care North WalesAbsolutely terrible experience with St Asaph office. My daughter is severely disabled with complex needs. I am a single mum to her. Alcedo were given her contract of care 28hrs per week by Continuing Health Care. We had problem after problem. Absolutely no consistency which is what my daughter required. They said they could deliver what was required by my daughter and Continuing Health but it became very apparent very quickly they couldn't. In my experience Alcedo are very money driven, we experienced no person centered care or consideration, if you or your loved one need consistency then steer clear! They change staff at the very last minute without notice. It is a shame it is ran this way because the actual carers are lovely and are trying their best, the problems lie within the management and logistics. My star ratings are based on management and logistics and not on actual care staff.
All the carers are lovely.
I was not looking forward to having carers but we are so pleased that the girls have been great and talk and chat with my husband when they are looking after him. They shower and dress him every day and bring him through for his breakfast. They are so kind and thoughtful and always on time.
I find the carers that we have had from Alcedo Care very kind to my husband when looking after him and very helpful to me too.
Excellent service overall, friendly staff. Have made it much easier leaving hospital and carrying on with day-to-day life.
I had care for my mum who just needed some support following a hospital procedure. The girls who visited made my mum and me feel comfortable. My mum can now live without support thanks to the team at Alcedo.
I am looked after very well from the moment I met the staff and carers. With respect and kindness.
My mum was the first client of Alcedo Care in North Wales from February 2023 until her passing in March 2024. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care and attention that she received twice daily She looked forward to having regular chats with all of the carers. She never wanted to go into a care home and Alcedo Care provided the excellent care she needed to remain in her own home. I would like to thank all carers for their hard work and all office staff for their professionalism.
Care was ok to start off with, then we had to have a care staff change, but she was *really really* good with him, so we were very happy. It took me a while to get used to the calendar, and there were a few drastic changes we weren't made aware of till it changed on the calendar. This was despite the fact I was phoning regularly. The staff member herself was impeccable. I was told I should be checking the schedule myself, but I would do this and then it would change. Sometimes on the actual day itself! It's impossible to constantly check the schedule, in case it's been changed. I tried to call several times when the staff member turned up on a day we weren't expecting her, but there was no answer. When I did call, I was told they would try and put her in for a different day that week. When I called back a few days later, I was told by someone else that we had lost that session because I hadn't checked the schedule properly!
Very happy with the carers. They respect me all the time. Name badges would the good.
