View Full Details of Gentle Hands Healthcare LtdEverybody, staff and management, I have had dealings with over the last 6+ months have been excellent. Some have gone over and above what is expected. Highly recommend them to everyone. They are all kind and caring and listen to my needs.
Excellent service, mainly experienced care givers where nothing is too much trouble for them. They. are friendly, reassuring, punctual and thorough. I always feel that I am listened to. On occasions you build up a consistent rapport when it is the same carer who comes. My one downside would be it’s not always the same carer. I have dogs and the carers are mostly fine with that and treat them with respect as they are very much part of my family. I am always asked at the end of my visit if there is anything else they can do for me. My doors are locked and the key put safely back.
The carers are fine and take good care of my husband and he enjoys their chat and company. I am quite happy with the care he gets they are always cheery and compassionate with him they are very helpful and get on with their work and keep things clean and tidy and I am grateful for all the help they give us.
Both myself and my mother are delighted with the care and attention shown to my father. He is treated with care and dignity. These are very hard times and they create a relaxed and 'fun' time whilst being very professional. Days can be long however with the multiple visits this gives us the extra help we couldn't have him at home without. Staff are always friendly and on time and go above and beyond what they're paid to do. If there are other family members or friends in the house whilst they are visiting this does not affect how they go about their work and it still stays a relaxed time. We are very thankful and appreciate what they do very much, they now feel part of the family.
Gentle Hands Healthcare and all their staff have provided excellent care for our mum. They are patient, professional and very caring and always go the extra mile when they visit. It is a very great load off our minds to know they are there and giving such a good service.
I have been a client of Gentle Hands since June 2023 and all in all I've been largely impressed. Management have been great, especially one staff member in particular, who has gone above and beyond time and time again - she is an asset to the company, she has made herself available at any time to discuss any complaints, concerns or anything else. Care staff have been a tad hit and miss at times. Communication can be an issue, as language barriers cause problems - it can be frustrating for me, and I can communicate well. I can only imagine how difficult it is for those who have had strokes. However, there are many of the care staff who are a credit to the company. Hopefully the company employs more carers of these standards. Quality is far more important than quantity. It has made me feel uneasy recently to have so many new strangers come into my home. Continuity and a reliable routine is extremely important and a valuable factor to consider.
Really good service, management is good and staff are professional with good training. The staff cannot do enough to help and I find all of them very caring and friendly. The staff have a good backup if any problems arise. I am so glad I chose this company for my care.
Service has been a major help for Mum, and therefore for me. Timings can occasionally slip, but given the nature of the service this is understandable. Overall, everything runs very smoothly. I think Mum is very comfortable with the help she is being given.
I’m really happy that I had chosen this company, they are really nice people and good for the care that they do for my mum. So, I would like to thank them for everything they do, I recommend this company to people who need their help.
The "care" is negligible, to non-existent. Sometimes they do not turn up, and when they do they have a terrible attitude. They refuse to make any meals that require any level of competence, breakfast of porridge will be too much for the care providers. No help going to the toilet, barge in the door and start shouting. They attend for less than five minutes and then stand outside for a bus for half an hour. They have brought in strangers unannounced, unknown and male....to care for an elderly lady. They removed all paperwork from the home of the lady, they do not fill in any paperwork. The company do not have anyone to answer the phone. It is only a matter of time before this company's failings lead to an accident. Please ask the Council to provide you with a service that does not put your loved one in danger. All staff that have attended have only recently been allowed into the country to do care work, they have no qualifications and some really are not suited to this caring profession.
