My husband and I are both service users and our support began with Westmorland Homecare just recently, in March of 2024. Since our care began, we have met 3 out of the 4 HCAs (Health Care Assistants) allocated to our package. The staff we have met, all seem professional, caring, attentive, conscientious, and genuinely nice people, who seem to really care about their work. I have also had numerous interactions with the branch care manager. I have found her to be a highly knowledgeable individual, with a no-nonsense attitude, and a fierce passion for the wellbeing of all staff and clients alike. The reputation of the agency and its great CQC history with all its branches seems hard-earned and highly prized. They appear to uphold a truly person-centred approach and offer a genuineness, a quality rarely exampled in other local agencies in our experience. Let it continue! Their fees are pricey, I hope that doesn't stop some people from accessing a service of care, which provides a high standard of support.
Ever since our assessment, Westmorland have been brilliant. We knew straight away that they were far better than our previous care companies and instantly made the decision to swap over to them and I am so glad we did. Dad has time to properly take care of himself now and mum is getting the level of service she has needed for so long. It has only been a short time, but we have had no missed appointments, everyone who has come are a part of our team and we are always in contact with the office team if and when we need changes. Honestly, I could not recommend them enough.
