I have mobility issues so live downstairs in my living room and carers
come in each day to change my washing water in my washing up bowl and
empty the commode. On their first day, they broke my tap. Instead of
standing up it now lies down. With full use of one hand I am not able to
use the tap now. Complained about it numerous times. The manager soon
left. I complained again when the new manager had started about the tap
but was told that as they had no record of it happening it wasn't their
fault. The reason they had no record was because they were useless at
record keeping. Not my fault. Now I can't get myself a drink of water
unless someone is here. Surely this is a human rights issue? They have
since lost another manager. Some of the staff are wonderful, caring and
helpful. Others are a bit useless and don't even speak to me. They don't
seem to understand they are often the only person I see, so humanity
would be appreciated.
