I have been using Abercare since February 2018. Times of calls were agreed and a request for timesheets to be emailed to me weekly with times and names of carers calling. I received one week's sheet but no more lists have been sent out. I now have to rely on the staff to inform me who is doing what
call at what time.
The office change times of calls as and when they want without any notification to the client - this is not being helpful to the client or the family who work their daily life around the staff calling. Trying to contact the office is no easy task either. Continuity of staff is another issue with really good staff leaving the service to move to another company. Abercare have some very good staff but have also lost very good staff.

Thank you for your recent review of Abacare and it's service. We are sorry that you feel you have not received continuity of care and information relating to rotas. Care in some areas of our operation can be challenging with staff members sometimes being unable to commit to regular rotas, hence sometimes care being placed with a number of carers for the same service users. We do however have a full staff quote in our offices who are able to answer calls and will immediately send out details of rotas if requested to do so by family members. Please do rest assured that any changes in care times will be investigated if these are not agreed with either the service user or the family.
